Year 3

Welcome 

In Year 3, we aim to help children develop their independence and confidence as the newest and youngest members of KS2.  We recognise that the transition from KS1 can feel a little overwhelming at first and provide a nurturing and supportive environment to help develop the skills and knowledge that they will need as they progress through the school.

We develop their growth mindset to allow the children to develop resilience and understand the importance of having a go. We encourage children to take responsibility for their own belongings as well as their own learning and praise and reward those that are being the best they can be.   We love inquisitive minds and the natural curiosity that Year 3s bring to the classroom and use our school grounds including the woods, swimming pool and field as well as our local town and trips to enrich our learning and build on experiences.

What have we been up to?

 

Dragon Days Musical

The Year 3 and 4 children put on three incredible shows performing 'Dragon Days'. The children worked so hard learning all the songs and their lines! They have all grown in confidence throughout the rehearsals and live shows and many children pushed themselves out of their comfort zones!
